The freedom of sisterlocks

Almost two years

This past two years have been a learning process and an accepting one. Learning how to maintain natural hair and accepting others opinions. Some people just love my hair and others just don't. I have always been the one to worry about pleasing others, even how I wore my hair. Wearing sisterlocks has allowed me to be me, without the stress. I am so glad I am free and being myself. It has been a blessing and the sisterlocks are my trophy. What a reward.
Blessings to everyone

Cayman Islands

Just came back from Cayman Islands. It was great and relaxing. The weather was in the 80's with a slight breeze. If you like a quiet, serene surrounding Cayman Islands is for you. My hair held up great, I washed it daily after swimming in the salt water.

First Gathering

I made it to my first Sisterlock Gathering. Paulette had a wonderful gathering. She went all out, food and fun. I had a great time seeing all the sisterlocks, it was amazing to see so many different textures and styles. I had a great time.

This is my son who is 22, and my daughter is 12. They just love each other. They age difference probably helps a lot. I would love for my daughter to get sisterlocks, and she very well may do that in 2008. My son has had his locks for one year. I missed my one year anniversary. I will have updates soon.

Happy New Year

Wow, whatever happened to 2007 ? It is hard to believe this year is over. It is so hard to believe we are embarking upon a new year. I do not know what God has planned for me, but I am completely trusting Him. Number one goal is to continue to grow closer to Christ, and the rest will fall into place. As the year is ending, I am so ready for a new beginning. Blessed beginnings to everyone, pray and be strong. Get ready for 2008.

My yoke is easy, and my burdens are light. Matthew 11:30
